minidlna enable setting is not retained

Description

In the LuCI minidlna application, setting the service as enabled and applying the changes correctly saves and enables the service, but the option doesn't appear to actually save (restoring settings after an upgrade will cause minidlna to reset to disabled, for example).

This is not a LuCI issue. The gui merely enabled and disables the init script, but the activation state of init scripts is not preserved on sysupgrade.

This needs either changes in the OpenWrt? minidlna package (introduce extraneous enabled option) or in OpenWrt? sysupgrade (implement enabled state keeping for init scripts).

This kind of feature ( state keeping for init scripts ) would be really wellcome, as it is a pain to enable disable stuff everytime we flash. Not a big deal for most, but in my particular case, I flash every other day, and everytime I flash I have to:

  • enable miniupnp
  • disable dnsmasq
  • disable polipo
  • disable tinyproxy
  • disable telnet
  • disable multiwan
  • disable sysntpd
  • disable openvpn
