This is an OpenWrt? issue or a problem with your configuration, nothing that can be done about in LuCI.

OK. Forget it. I'll fix it by hotplug.

That is not true. Luci restarts all network interfaces, but it is possible not to restart unmanaged ones. Restarting interfaces managed by openl2tpd -> pppd cause loss of ip address on ppp0 interface. And there is no way to change it, unless I integrate openl2tp into uci. In this case managing script will be restarted too. I plan to do it, but it will take some time.

I ask for a simple thing not to restart. It was this way a month or two ago.

LuCI always ran /etc/init.d/network restart. It is not possible to "fix" that. Do you have any idea how complex it is to bring single interface up or down?

Oh and this is still no LuCI issue. If you want /etc/init.d/network to not touch unmanaged interfaces then file an OpenWrt? ticket.
