luci network menu not working

I recently built openwrt from source for my netgear wndr3700. I installed the full luci package. Everything works great except for the services and network menus. Whenever I click on these menus I get a blank page. A few other users have been having the same issue in this thread  https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=22311&p=9

I believe this is fixed with r5859 and r5860
